10:45 (NIV) WELCOME! You are starting an exciting journey as you discover where you would like to serve at Destiny Metropolitan Worship Church. Whether you are exploring serving opportunities for the first time or thinking about serving in a ministry that is new to you, welcome! Serving moves you forward in your journey to know God. Each time you freely give of your time and energy to serve others, you are modeling what Jesus’ life was so much about. God created you for a unique purpose. At Destiny, we sincerely believe that God equips all believers to serve in ministry. In 1 Peter 2:9, God calls His followers “a royal priesthood”; 1 Corinthians 12:1 says that “God gives spiritual gifts to each one, just as He determines.” We sometimes use the term “volunteers” as a convenient way of referring to those who serve, but who we’re really talking about are people who lovingly respond to Jesus’ call to His ministry. As a Destiny leader, it excites me to watch people discover that God can use their smallest, most hidden acts of kindness to change lives. I truly believe with all my heart that volunteers can change the world, a community, their very own church, AND find deep personal satisfaction at the same time. We have several serving opportunities at Destiny for everyone, and our goal is to empower YOU for ministry. I encourage you to find a place to jump in and serve! Feel free to browse the different ministry areas in this section. Once you find an area of interest a link at the bottom of the page will make it possible to sign up for that particular opportunity. After you sign up for an opportunity, someone from that ministry team will contact you to provide more details as it relates to YOUR volunteer assimilation. If you do not have a “My Destiny” user account, please set aside approximately 10 minutes to create one. The purpose of your “My Destiny” account is to create a simple, yet secure connection between you and Destiny Metropolitan Worship Church. Your “My Destiny” account is the best way for us to know for sure it is you when you enter the interactive places on our website. As previously mentioned, when God uniquely created each one of us He had a special purpose in mind and He wants us to find that purpose.
