Connection
Team Marketing Specialist
Primary Role: Responsible for facilitating the generation of awareness of and
participation in Small Group activities. The Marketing Lead is responsible
for activities for both current and potential Small Group members.
Time Commitment: 8 – 10 hrs/wk

Connection Specialist
Primary Role: Responsible for providing ongoing leadership and
supervision to the Connection Team in the areas of attendee
care.

Connection Team Lead
Primary Role: Responsible for developing and implementing effective
methods of Connecting Members into Small Groups. This
includes overseeing operations of the Connection Team and the
Marketing Team.

Curriculum Proofreader
Primary Role: Responsible for assisting the Small Groups Production
Specialist in the creation and refinement of curriculum projects
to ensure all materials are error-free and exhibit high quality
standards

Curriculum Team Content Writer
Primary Role: Responsible for writing and developing content
material for all Small Groups curriculum projects.

to ensure the integrity, excellence, and effective application
of the curriculum content is maintained.

MAP Team Coach Advisor
Primary Role: Responsible for applying years of experience
in Small Groups to help the team determine the feasibility and
potential efficacy of newly conceived programs.

Care Team Specialist
Primary Role: Responsible for recognizing birthdays, graduations,
bereavements anniversaries and other acts of kindness from the
Small Group Ministry. To provide the care in Small Groups ministry
to all leaders, hosts, Host Leaders, etc

Exit Team Specialist
Primary Role: Responsible for facilitating effective exit interviews
of small group staff in order to document their experience
as a small groups’ staff member.
Time Commitment: 2 – 3 hrs/wk

Research Analyst
Primary Role: Responsible for analyzing exit interview data of
the small group staff in order to determine commonalities on
exiting rationale. The Research Analyst will extract
common feedback and work in conjunction with Retention Specialist
on new strategies to retain staff.

Event Specialist
Primary Role: Responsible for assisting all MAP Team-related
small group events. The Event Specialist will support
all Team Leads with event promotion, logistics to ensure events
are implemented with precision and excellence. The Event
Specialist will counsel Team Leads on realistic attendance
goals and pre-/post-event following strategies. The primary
role of the Event Specialist is to assist all MAP Team-related
small group events. The Event Specialist will support

Small Groups Training Lead
Primary Role: Responsible for supporting small group development
by managing all training sessions to assimilate new Hosts,
Host Leaders and Coaches. The Training Lead will provide
direction on innovative and interactive strategies to incorporate
during training. The Lead will serve as the facilitator
for training sessions and a mentor for new trainers.
Time Commitment: 5 – 7 hrs/wk

Small Groups Trainer
Primary Role: Responsible for supporting the Training Lead with
the implementation of training sessions for new Small Group
Hosts, Host Leaders and Coaches. The Trainer will support
facilitation and ongoing manual development.
Time Commitment: 3 – 5 hrs/wk

R.O.P.E. Specialist
Primary Role: Responsible for managing all ROPE Course sessions
for staff. The ROPE Course Specialist will be responsible
for the coordination and preparation of facilitators for ROPE
Course sessions. The ROPE Course Specialist will be responsible
for implementing each Course including event promotion with target
attendance goals. The ROPE Course Specialist will be responsible
for collecting evaluation tools for Courses.
Time Commitment: 5 – 7 hrs/wk

Retention Team Specialist
Primary Role: Responsible for creating and implementing tools
and programs to retain Small Groups staff. The Retention
Team Specialist is responsible for the implementation of ROPE
Courses and other programs designed to equip and train existing
staff. The Retention Team Specialist will be responsible
for creating an award criteria/program to recognize achievements
of Small Groups staff and determining the magnitude of each
award.
Time Commitment: 7 – 10 hrs/wk

Assimilation Team Specialist
Primary Role: Responsible for supporting Small Groups development
by providing new small group Host Leaders with a strong foundation
to begin their tenure. The Assimilation Specialist also
provides essential information to new Host Leaders using a
clear and concise medium. The Specialist fosters an ongoing
spirit of welcome and appreciation throughout volunteers’ first
year in Small Groups

Ministry Assimilation Process Team Lead
Primary Role: Responsible for supporting small group development
by providing leadership and organization to the Ministry Assimilation
Process and training/development functions within Small Groups.

Primary Role: Responsible for facilitating the care of
small group members.
Time Commitment: 5 – 7 hrs/wk

Small Groups Associate Team Member
Primary Role: Responsible for assisting the Team Administrator
and Secretary by providing administrative support for all Small
Groups events. The Associate Team Member manages the
Small Groups informational table. This role reports to
the Small Groups Team Administrator.

Fellowship One Specialist
Primary Role: Responsible for assisting the Connection Team,
Coaches, and/or Leaders with placement of those interested
in joining a small group through Small Group finder. The
Fellowship One Specialist will manage Fellowship One which
will automatically update the Small Group Finder and Small
Group Manager. The Fellowship One Specialist will also
communicate via phone and/or email to Fellowship One tech support
with any questions or concerns with the system.
Time Commitment: 8 – 10 hrs/wk

Team Secretary
Primary Role: Responsible for assisting the Small Groups Team
Administrator by providing administrative support for all Small
Groups events. The Team Secretary provides materials
serves as the MAP Team Leader. The Team Secretary also
maintains all Small Groups databases.
Time Commitment: 8-10 hrs/wk

Team Administrator
Primary Role: Responsible for assisting the Small Groups Director
and Coordinator by providing administrative support for all
Small Groups events. The Team Administrator provides
administrative support to the Small Groups Director, Coordinator,
Shepherd Coaches, Host Leaders and Small Group Teams. This
role reports to the Small Groups Director and Coordinator.
Time Commitment: 12 – 15 hrs/wk

Shepherd Coach
Primary Role: Responsible for developing Small Groups Host Leaders
and their groups so that vision and mission of small groups
is fulfilled.
Time Commitment: 8 – 10 hrs/wk

Coach Team Lead
Primary Role: Responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing
the leadership potential of Shepherd Coaches to ensure that
the vision and mission of small groups is fulfilled.

Administrative Associate to the Small Groups Coordinator
Primary Role: Responsible for assisting the Small Groups Team
Coordinator by providing administrative support to ensure efficiency
and quality service. The Administrative Team Member also
provides key administrative & research support to the Destiny
Small Groups Curriculum Team.
Time Commitment: 8 – 10 hrs/wk

Small Groups Coordinator
Primary Role: Responsible for assisting the Small Groups Director
in providing leadership and direction to the staff that would
promote the development of loving, caring relationships by
developing the strategies and structures that support the vision
and mission of the church. The Coordinator oversees the
leadership development & training for the staff and employs
data gathering techniques to monitor the health of every small
group.
Time Commitment: 15 – 20 hrs/wk
