Welcome
Destiny Metropolitan Worship Church welcomes you and your child
to Seeds of Destiny (SOD). Your child is very special to us. It
is our desire to minister to your child’s spiritual, physical
and emotional needs. Our rooms are divided by age group and staffed
by loving and caring volunteers. We are committed to providing
a warm, caring and secure environment for your child.
Our Mission
We love and serve infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their families
in the name of Jesus Christ. We provide an innovative and creative
environment to aid in the healthy growth of young children and
their families into the image and character of Christ. We desire
to partner with our parents to teach their children to “love
the Lord our God with all their hearts, souls, minds and strength” in
their daily lives. We believe even the littlest ones can learn,
and we are committed to planting the Seeds of God’s
word in each of their hearts.
When You Arrive
You will be greeted by a Seeds of Destiny host at the registration
kiosk where you and your child will receive corresponding name
and number ID tags. You can then escort your child to his/her
classroom where you may personally speak with the teacher. If
your child needs you during service, your child’s name
will be displayed on the video screens located in the worship
center. We ask that you present your portion of the ID tag upon
return to the registration kiosk or classroom so that we can
verify a match of name and number. Please keep your portion of
the ID tag in a safe, easy-to-find location as your child cannot
be released to you unless you present it.
Your Child’s Health
We operate a well-child program. For the protection of all the
children in our ministry, we cannot accept a child with the following
symptoms: fever, rash, fresh cold (four days or less), diarrhea,
runny nose, persistent cough or any other signs of illness. We
request that you not place your child in the program while they
are at risk of exposing other children. We cannot administer
medication during the service. Thank you in advance for helping
us keep our children’s ministry a healthy place for all.
Service Requirements
The goal of this ministry is to partner with parents to impart
the Word in their children and make sure the children experience
God in a loving environment. With this in mind, we request that
all parents who are Destiny members and use SOD serve at one
of our four Sunday services or at our Wednesday night service
one time per month.
Curriculum
We believe that even our smallest children can learn! Babies
are learning from the moment of birth. What they learn is the
responsibility of parents and adults who care for them. In SOD,
regular learning experiences are planned and lessons are reinforced
with song, play and supervised activities designed especially
for children. The aim of our Bible classes is to give children
a foundation for future Bible knowledge and spiritual growth.
In a loving, secure environment we introduce:
-
The BIBLE as our source of knowledge of God.
-
GOD as the loving Creator—of us and all the natural
things around us.
-
JESUS, God’s son who lived on Earth—showing
His love for us.
-
Our RESPONSIBILITY to show our love to God in return.
By illustrating the many wonders of God’s creation seen
all around us, we hope to build and nurture a strong faith that
will sustain each child in the years to come. Each SOD classroom
has a program designed specifically for that age group.
