All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Psalm 139:13-16 (NIV) Welcome to Divine Design! We hope this section is an encouragement to you as we reinforce an important truth learned in CLASS 301. That truth is that you have been uniquely designed by God and for His special purpose. In CLASS 301 we learn that what God made me to BE determines what He intends for me to DO. In other words, I will understand the purpose I was created for when I understand the kind of person I am. This is the secret of knowing God’s will for my life! God is consistent in His plan for each of our lives. He would not give us inborn talents and temperaments, spiritual gifts, and all sorts of life experiences and then not use them! This applies in a Small Group setting as well. “The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body…Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” 1 Corinthians 12:12, 27 (NIV) As 1 Corinthians 3:9 states, we are to “work together as partners who belong to God” (NLT). He has brought your group together for a divine purpose. Examining your collective SHAPE will move you forward on the path towards discovering God’s mission for your group. Remember, He wouldn’t bring you all together, with all of your gifts, passions, abilities, personalities, and experiences if He didn’t intend to use them for something special. By reviewing and studying these factors, you can discover the unique way God intends for you all to serve him, not alone but together as one unit. You are better together. Action Steps: There are two components
of your SHAPE on which we want to focus in preparation for your
Design Party. If you click on the “Passions and Experiences
Questionnaire” tab you will be able to download a survey
that will help you identify the “H” and the “E” of
your SHAPE. It will be important to email that form to
your P.E.A.C.E. Champion once it is completed. If you have
not had the opportunity to attend CLASS 301 then please take
advantage of the SHAPE overview. This will allow you to
still participate in productive group discussion. However,
if you have not taken this CLASS we highly recommend you do so
