Embrace The Cause Appoint a P.E.A.C.E. Champion Design a P.E.A.C.E. Project Prepare for PEACE Launch a PEACE Project Embrace The Cause Appoint a P.E.A.C.E. Champion Design a P.E.A.C.E. Project

All that you have worked so hard praying and planning for has finally arrived!  We know that your P.E.A.C.E. Project will be a life changing experience for your Small Group and for those in the community.  There are two more key action items for you to consider before implementing a successful P.E.A.C.E. Project:

  1. Schedule a Brief Connection Time with Your Small Group:  It would be a great idea for you to ask your Small Group members to arrive early on the day of your P.E.A.C.E. Project to connect briefly.  Use this time to pray and encourage your group to remember the L.A.U.N.C.H. steps outlined for them.  Consider making copies of these and using it as an outline for your connection time.

  2. Schedule a Time to Debrief Your P.E.A.C.E. Experience:  It will be very important for your Small Group to connect and debrief your experience.  This will help your group identify what was accomplished, how God moved in the lives of your Small Group members as well as those you served, and identify key next steps.  It would be a good idea to schedule this time before everyone leaves on the day of your P.E.A.C.E. Project.  This is one of the most significant steps in the process yet it is also the one most easily forgotten or neglected.  Download the P.E.A.C.E. Project Debrief Form to help you ask key questions, facilitate meaningful discussion, and record the group’s responses.  Consider typing out the responses from this discussion and emailing them to the group.

Develop a P.E.A.C.E. Strategy:  Depending on your Small Group’s experience you may decide during the debriefing process that the people you designed your P.E.A.C.E. Project for are the people your Small Group would like to work with long term.  For some Small Group’s this discovery may take many experiences in the community experimenting with different projects and working with different people to determine how your Small Group can make the greatest impact.  Remember, PEACE is a strategy that will not bring about long term transformation unless it is carried out to a people group on a consistent basis.  Develop a P.E.A.C.E. Strategy has been designed to help your Small Group develop an effective long term P.E.A.C.E. Strategy.
