As a P.E.A.C.E. Champion, you will find all of the tools you
will need to effectively guide your Small Group through the steps
of Design a P.E.A.C.E. Project. This step in the process
can become an exciting experience for you and your Small Group. To
ensure that this step is the best experience as possible for
your group, it will be necessary that you help them through the
process as much as possible, keeping them informed of next steps
and what to expect ahead. Ensuring this kind of environment
will give your group a sense of security and confidence that
this new experience will be positive and fulfilling. We
have provided some tools that are necessary for you to prepare
for your group’s Design Party, such as your leaders guide
and small group curriculum. There are a couple of other
tools added to give you some tips on working cross culturally
and forming partnerships. Take a look at the action
items below to help navigate your Small Group through Design
a P.E.A.C.E. Project:
-
Throw a Design Party!: The purpose
of a Design Party is to help your Small Group explore how God
has uniquely designed your Small Group, identify who God has
uniquely designed your Small Group to reach, and to decide
what kind of P.E.A.C.E. Project to design in light of these
discoveries. A Design Party is a great method for facilitating
this process and we have provided you with a Design Party Small
Group curriculum and facilitators guide to help you. It
will be important that you connect with your Small Group to
confirm a date for the Design Party.
-
Collect Your Group’s Passions and Experiences
Questionnaires:
Your Small Group members have
been encouraged to complete a Passions and Experiences Questionnaire. This
questionnaire helps your group members identify the passions
and experiences they feel can be used to glorify God through
P.E.A.C.E. Your Design Party Facilitator’s Guide
asks you to collect these in preparation for your Design
Party. Make sure to follow up with your group members
to make sure they submit these to you in time to prepare
adequately. Your group members can email their questionnaire
to you if it is more convenient for you.
-
Prepare for Your Design Party: Download
the Design Party Facilitator’s Guide and read it thoroughly. This
guide gives helpful tips on how to prepare and will walk you
through the process of facilitating a Design Party. If
you take the time to prepare for this meeting your Small Group
will have an exciting experience and make significant discoveries. Remember
to be praying for this meeting!
If you have any questions or concerns please remember to contact
your P.E.A.C.E. Coach. After your Small Group has identified
who to reach and what kind of P.E.A.C.E. Project to design you
may want to take advantage of the other two tools we have provided
here for you. Your group may be considering collaborating
with another organization, church, or Small Group or your group
may desire to work cross-culturally. We have offered some
helpful tips for you as you lead your group through this process. For
now, these general guidelines should be sufficient for you. There
are many more helpful tools on these subjects when you get to
develop a P.E.A.C.E. Strategy which focuses on more long term
initiatives.
