Magnification
Worship is one of those subjects that can easily
be misunderstood. When most people hear the word worship, they
automatically think of singing, playing instruments, dancing
and other artistic expressions.
Although those things can be a part of a worship experience,
worship is so much more than what you might see within the 4
walls of a church! True worship is my life and
yours totally submitted to God. That
means every part of our lives become worship.
Working a nine to five, when doing it for the Lord, becomes
worship. Spending time with your family becomes worship. Having
a great time with your friends becomes worship. To worship God
is precisely why we were created. That’s it!
God expects us to give our lives to Him to be used by Him to
accomplish His plans here in the earth. “But the
time is coming—it has, in fact, come—when what you
are called will not matter and where you go to worship will not
matter. It’s who you are and the way that you live that
count before God” John 4:23 (MES). All God wants is us.
“Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before
the Lord our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of
his pasture, the flock under his care.”
Psalm
95:6-7 (NIV)
