Are you built to last?
Luke 6:48-49 says, "If you work the words into
your life, you are like a smart carpenter who dug deep
and laid the foundation of his house on bedrock. When
the river burst its banks and crashed against the house,
nothing could shake it; it was built
to last."

Testimonials
Reality – Dorian Carde, Class of 1999
When I think back to what attracted me to LTS, I really
wanted to be confronted
with the reality of God and the reality of just how instrumental
my life was to destinies of others. I wanted to meet
God in such a way that would change me forever.
LTS forced me to leave everything behind and follow God.
I received a clarity that arrested my heart for God…I
haven’t been the same since. There was a clarity
that I had received that just arrested my heart for God.
LTS is a place where God places you in this virtual incubator
where you grow and develop in ways that you could not have
in any other setting. It is like drinking concentrated
God - nothing watered down or added.
Leadership – Maya Tolbert, Class of 1999 & 2000
I am the leader I am today because of my LTS experience.
LTS taught me to wrestle with God for myself without constantly
relying on those around me to feed me. I learned
how to regularly get into my word, talk to God and seek
Him about every aspect of my life.
I was challenged to try new and different things. I
was also encouraged to invest time in developing areas
of my giftings so they can be used to glorify God and reach
others for Christ. This is one of the best things about
LTS – when students attend every ounce of their God-given
potential will be pulled (and I do mean pulled) out of
them for God’s glory!
Life Change – Kia Stephens, Class of 1998 & 1999
Although I had grown up in the church all my life I
met truth at LTS. I learned that being a Christian should
be synonymous with my everyday actions. I realized that
for a large part of my life I had been a hypocrite and
I purposed in my heart to change and truly exemplify
what it means to be called a Christian.
If you are looking to make a lasting impact in this world
for Jesus Christ, I recommend attending
LTS. This is because the excess fat (excuses, procrastination,
sin, low self-esteem, bitterness, anything that normally
goes unseen at the surface, etc.) is cut away!
Worldview – Rob Mays, Class of 1996
When I think back to my experience at LTS, I think about ‘worldview-shifting’.
I learned about Christ's perspective and how different
it is from society. I learned how popular culture differs
from God's perspective on life.
I also learned how to watch movies, read books and periodicals while
looking for Godly principles in them. Students
should attend LTS to grow in their understanding of God
and their own unique calling, applying Him to the
world around them, specifically in areas where they have
influence.
Growth – Jason Whitaker
LTS exposed me to great teachers. We met pastors, teachers
and writers that challenged my thought process and pushed
me to grow in my relationship with Christ.
I learned a few basic truths that developed me in immeasurable
ways:
-
If you love Jesus you won't want to hurt His heart
through regular, perpetual sin.
-
We can have an answer
for any one that challenges our beliefs.
-
Being a Christian
doesn't mean you have to be hokey and irrelevant.
