We offer care to individuals and married couples.

How long will it take someone to respond to my request?
Someone from the Life Focus team will respond to your
request within 24-48 hours.
Where will sessions take place?
All care sessions takes place on Destiny church grounds.
Who is going to serve me?
The Life Focus team pairs you with a volunteer who is suited to address
your circumstance. The team is made up of volunteer ministers who are shaped
and trained to serve Destiny members in this way.
What if I'm not sure what's wrong with me?
One of our functions is to talk you through a difficult time. If you
are not sure what might be wrong, but just know that something is, don't hesitate
to contact us.
Can I sign up for consecutive sessions?
We normally schedule 3 sessions per request.
What should I expect from a session?
After we assess your circumstance, one of our trained volunteers meets
with you to talk you through a difficult time. We work with you to chart the
steps you should take to overcome in your area of difficulty.
What if I've been to counseling before?
We will not turn anyone away if they have been counseled previously
for the same circumstance. We assess each situation to determine the scope of
help we feel is needed. If a circumstance is beyond our scope, we refer our members
to a list of Christian professional counselors with whom we keep a working relationship.
Do I have to pay for this service?
No. You will not have to pay to receive help from the Life Focus team.
They are a volunteer staff.
Are the volunteers trained?
All volunteers participate in the American Association of Christian
Counseling training Caring for People God's Way. Although many of our volunteers
have degrees and/or experience in counseling, this team does not offer professional
counseling. The Life Focus team is a group of lay ministers who offer their services
on a volunteer basis.
When are care volunteers available?
Volunteers are available during evening hours only.
I'm not a member of Destiny. Can I still use this service?
For liability reasons, Life Focus serves only Destiny members. Please click
